Once upon a time I started a blog in preparation for a group mission trip to Taiwan with two friends, one boyfriend (now husband!), and one choir director. We met incredible people, sang some cool songs, visited beautiful parts of Taipei, and left a little bit different than how we began. It was an awesome experience, but blogging was more difficult to maintain than I thought and I haven’t posted since…woops. My life has changed in more ways than one since then, so I thought I’d do a quick catch-up blog and then start posting more regularly, as there are many things on my heart and mind that I’d love to share with anyone who is interested. SO here goes!
I finished my student teaching in K-12 Vocal Music Education and graduated from York College in December 2015!
Two weeks later, I married the love of my life surrounded by friends, family, and the love of God.
A huge shout-out to Bob DeHart Photography! Thanks for making us feel at peace during a busy morning and for capturing wonderful memories.
We went on a week-long trip to New York City where we ate so. much. food. Seriously, it was all about the food. Well, we also experienced New York City on New Years Eve (wow), saw two Broadway shows, including Les Mis, and one off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks, and visited some great places. It was such a blessing to share the city with my best friend.
(Clearly loving these photo gallery options.)
I moved to Omaha and quickly took over Caleb’s apartment.
I’ve enjoyed my time at home, cooking and cleaning while taking a little break from school. Caleb and I have spent a lot of our time with friends and at the church where he serves as youth minister. Finally, last weekend I auditioned for a graduate program in voice and will hopefully start pursuing my Masters degree.
I have been extremely blessed by God the past few months and I am excited to see what he has in store next! Thanks for catching up with me 🙂
